On 20 May 2026, the BePacMan project organised a hybrid Stakeholder Learning Session focused on circular paper packaging systems, bringing together SMEs, researchers, innovation stakeholders and project partners from across the South Baltic region.
The session combined expert presentations with an interactive roundtable discussion addressing practical challenges and opportunities related to reusable and circular paper packaging solutions.
Participants discussed:
- implementation challenges connected with PPWR and circular packaging systems,
- operational and logistics barriers,
- cost efficiency and sustainability aspects,
- reuse and optimisation opportunities,
- and the importance of cross-sector cooperation and stakeholder dialogue.
The event enabled both on-site and online participation through MS Teams, supporting broader stakeholder engagement and cross-border knowledge exchange.
The session forms part of the BePacMan project activities focused on improving circularity in paper packaging through cooperation between businesses, academia and public stakeholders in the South Baltic region.
The discussions and stakeholder insights gathered during the session will support future project activities, including workshops, pilot actions and policy-oriented recommendations related to circular packaging systems.
