On 3 June 2026, project partners and invited stakeholders gathered at Gdańsk University of Technology for the BePacMan workshop “Best Practices for Extending the Lifecycle of Paper Packaging”.
The workshop brought together experts, project partners and stakeholders from across the South Baltic region to exchange knowledge and discuss practical approaches to improving circularity in paper packaging systems.
The programme included expert presentations covering:
• key trends and challenges in circular paper packaging,
• examples of good practices from across the region,
• SME perspectives and practical implementation challenges,
• legal and regulatory frameworks influencing packaging management.
Following the presentations, participants took part in a series of interactive workshop sessions focused on:
• generating ideas for extending the lifecycle of paper packaging,
• exploring practical reuse and transformation opportunities,
• developing circular business concepts,
• assessing business potential and implementation pathways.
The workshop provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and cross-border cooperation while supporting the development of practical solutions that contribute to a more circular packaging economy in the South Baltic region.
The event was organised within the BePacMan (Better Paper Packaging Management) project co-funded by the Interreg South Baltic Programme.
