The BePacMan Project Workshop is an international event organized within the framework of the BePacMan – Better Paper Packaging Management initiative, co-funded by the Interreg South Baltic Programme 2021-2027.

The event focuses on the environmental, technological, economic, and regulatory challenges related to paper packaging management and explores innovative approaches for extending the lifecycle of paper-based materials in line with circular economy principles.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• explore key trends and challenges in circular paper packaging,
• learn about best practices and successful international solutions,
• discuss legal frameworks and sustainability requirements,
• exchange experiences between academia, industry, and SMEs,
• participate in interactive ideation sessions and hands-on laboratories,
• develop innovative concepts for reuse, recycling, and material transformation,
• examine business opportunities connected with sustainable packaging systems.

The workshop includes expert presentations, collaborative design activities, and practical sessions focused on material exploration and circular product development. A study visit to EkoFabryka Wejherowo will additionally provide participants with direct insight into waste management and material recovery processes.

The event will take place on 2–3 June 2026 in Wejherowo and Gdańsk, Poland, hosted by the Gdańsk University of Technology.
